“Canoe of Manitu”: Most successful German film release since 2019

Munich. Michael "Bully" Herbig's return to the Wild West is thrilling moviegoers: Around 800,000 viewers have seen "Manitu's Canoe" in the first four days since its release. This is an exceptional figure that has catapulted the comedy to number one in the box office charts, according to Constantin Film.
In recent years, very few German productions have managed to achieve such opening figures. This is therefore the most successful opening for a German film since 2019.
By comparison: the previous film “Manitu’s Shoe,” which became a huge hit with audiences and a surprise success, was seen by even more people in the first four days of 2001 – around 950,000.
In "Manitu's Canoe," Abahachi (Michael Herbig) and his blood brother Ranger (Christian Tramitz) once again find themselves in the turmoil of the Wild West. Abachi's twin brother Winnetouch and Rick Kavanian as Dimitri are also back. This time, they must find a canoe with magical powers and fend off various villains along the way.
