I was on the regional train back to Berlin when an announcement came on that I'd never heard before. The loudspeaker crackled to life shortly after we left Groß Köris. The next station was supposed to be Bestensee. We were told we'd be arriving at that station late. Immediately, a message popped up in my Deutsche Bahn app saying my connection was no longer running and I should find an alternative. It was about my connecting train in Berlin. But my mind was elsewhere, preoccupied with the reason for our delay.
