'Superman,' 'Fantastic Four,' and 'Jurassic World': The Rise of the Rebirth of Great Film Classics

With the start of summer in the northern hemisphere, cinema sets a trend: the déjà vu of important classic films. Remakes of "Superman," "Fantastic Four," "Smurfs," and others are among this year's most talked-about titles.
These sequels or reboots of sagas are combined with original titles , such as the new Pixar ('Elio') and Darren Aronofsky ('Caught Stealing') films or even the long-awaited F1 film, starring Brad Pitt and Javier Bardem.

Brad Pitt stars in this film, which includes F1 champion Lewis Hamilton among its producers, and which focuses on Sonny Hayes, a veteran racer who was the great failed promise of Formula 1 and has a second chance 30 years later.
The return of the classics 'Jurassic World: Rebirth' arrives as the seventh adventure in the saga created by Steven Spielberg based on Michael Crichton's 1993 novels. For this new installment, which will premiere in July, there is a new trio of protagonists: Scarlett Johansson, Mahershala Ali and Jonathan Bailey, in a story that takes place five years after the events of 'Jurassic World: Dominion' (2022).

Around the same time, 'Superman', another revival of the famous superhero saga, will hit theaters , now with James Gunn at the helm following the success of the 'Guardians of the Galaxy' trilogy. American actor David Corenswet takes on the role of the superhero once played by Christopher Reeve and Henry Cavill, among others. Rachel Brosnahan, meanwhile, plays Lois Lane, and Nicholas Hoult, the evil Lex Luthor.
With a new cast including Madelyn Cline, Chase Sui Wonders, Jonah Hauer-King, Tyriq Withers, and some of the original cast, 'I Know What You Did Last Summer' is coming out. The popular teen horror series that began in 1997, starring Jennifer Love Hewitt, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Ryan Phillippe, and Freddie Prinze Jr., and which had two sequels, in 1998 and 2006, repeats its story this year.

A soundtrack featuring songs from stars like Rihanna—who also produced the film—Cardi B, Tyla, and DJ Khaled will be the hook to attract those who grew up watching "Smurfs." The film arrives this year with a modernized Smurf family and an adventure in which Papa Smurf is kidnapped by the evil Gargamel and Razamel . Smurfette will lead a rescue mission that will take them to the real world and will hit theaters in the second half of July.
'Fantastic Four: First Steps' marks the return of Mr. Fantastic, Invisible Woman, Human Torch, and The Thing, the Fantastic Four created in 1961 by Stan Lee for Marvel and who have already had two previous attempts with little success.
This year, the project is more ambitious, and with the help of Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach, they hope to reach all audiences.
Other great titles such as 'And Where's the Police' ('The Naked Gun' in English), 'Caught Stealing' or 'The Roses' (a reinterpretation of 'The War of the Roses' 1989), return from the last century to movie theaters to dominate, with new languages, narratives and actors, the current public.
