Apps you should uninstall from your phone to protect your bank account and avoid being scammed

With the increasing adoption of online transactions and the storage of personal information via mobile devices, cybersecurity is a practice that increasingly requires support to reduce data theft.
While smartphone users are constantly looking for new strategies to avoid scams or deceptions by criminals, they are frequently improving their tactics to compromise bank accounts, passwords, or contact numbers.

Among the methods most commonly used by thieves are email chains, text messages, calls, and the development of fake apps , the sole purpose of which is to steal personal information without raising suspicion.
These malicious platforms allow cybercriminals to obtain data from browsing history and bank accounts linked to mobile devices to extort money or impersonate people.
In this sense, it is essential to regularly review the applications downloaded to cell phones to ensure they protect users' connections and communications.
However, there is a list of platforms that can compromise people's security, especially because they appear to be common services, when in reality they are operated by scammers.

- Sheine VPN.
- ProxyGate.
- DewVPN.
- Shield VPN.
- Paladin VPN.
If any mobile device has any of these six options, it's best to remove the platform immediately , as it's not a Virtual Private Network (VPN) service; rather, it's a gateway to data compromise.

If a user discovers that passwords, bank account logins, or other information have been stolen, it's best to contact the National Police's Virtual CAI (Center for Information and Communications), the National Virtual Reporting System, or go to a police station.
These entities will handle reported cases, offering services such as receiving complaints, providing cybersecurity advice, generating preemptive alerts, and properly investigating threats.
