Bad Bunny fans fear after injuring his knee during a concert

The injury that has the world most on edge isn't that of a soccer player, but that of Puerto Rican singer Bad Bunny . There's still no medical report or statement on the artist's condition, but the images from his latest concert have left the millions of fans who bought tickets for his 'Debí tira más fotos World Tour' very concerned.
The accident occurred while he was performing a choreography that involved jumping like a rabbit as part of one of his songs. After several jumps from one side to the other, he stepped wrong and twisted his leg, bringing his hand to his left hamstring (the "armpit of the leg") with a gesture of pain. Some attendees even mentioned on social media that the Puerto Rican cried out in pain because of the twist.
Benito returned to the stage a few minutes later and, "apparently still in pain," according to some media reports, continued his performance to the applause and cheers of an audience grateful for his efforts. However, the extent of the injury is unknown, and although this newspaper has contacted the concert promoter, Live Nation, to find out about the singer's condition, there has been no response yet.
The artist kicked off his residency 'No me quiero ir de aquí' on July 11 at the José Miguel Agrelot Coliseum of Puerto Rico, with thirty dates that have featured well-known faces such as Penélope Cruz, Javier Bardem, Belinda Juanes, Dayanara Torres and Ricky Martin , and which ends this week on September 12, 13 and 14. "I can't believe there are only three shows left... Wow! I will never tire of thanking, THANK YOU!" he wrote on his Instagram stories on September 8, sharing a photo in which he was seen with his hand on his heart.
According to Discover Puerto Rico, the island's nonprofit tourism board, the influx of more than 600,000 showgoers, many of them from the continental United States, Europe, and Latin America, has generated a direct economic impact of nearly $200 million.
“The idea of the residency was always there, ever since I can remember,” she said in a June interview with Variety. “But it became difficult to ignore as time went on. I admit it was hard to complete my last tour, because all I wanted was to enter this chapter. Before the residency, my long-held fantasy was to do a massive, free concert in Puerto Rico, just for locals. And if it were up to me, all the concerts for locals would be free.”
Once the residency is complete, her next dates kick off on November 21st in the Dominican Republic , followed by Costa Rica, Mexico, Colombia, Peru, Chile, Argentina, and Brazil, in that order. In February 2026, she'll travel to Australia and Japan, and on May 22nd and 23rd, she'll perform in Barcelona.
After another two-concert stop in Portugal, their ten-show run at Madrid's Estadio Metropolitano kicks off on May 30. They will then travel to Germany, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, France, Sweden, Poland, and Italy, before concluding the tour in Belgium on July 22.
Given the area apparently affected, it could be an injury to the meniscus or the internal lateral ligament, which will require months of recovery. Or it could have been a sprain without major consequences. We'll have to wait for the bad bunny to reveal what happened, and whether he'll be able to continue his tour or, on the contrary, cancel concerts, but many of his fans have already expressed their fear after the effort they had to make to get tickets. "Watching my savings break my knee," one wrote on social media after witnessing their idol's stumble.
This isn't the first time Benito has suffered a physical accident during a concert. In October 2017 in Panama City, just half an hour into the concert, he bent down at the edge of the stage and suddenly fell from the platform. Despite the accident, with the help of his security detail, he returned to the stage, sang for a few more minutes, and then apologized to his audience, explaining that he couldn't continue. The concert ended, and paramedics took him away in an ambulance. The next day, his publicist, Sugeily Sola, announced that she was canceling her next two live performances in Peru.
