The attacker of British writer Salman Rushdie was sentenced this Friday to 25 years in prison for the attempted knife murder he carried out in August 2022, which left his victim seriously injured.
Hadi Matar, 27, was convicted in a New York court earlier this year of attempted murder and assault .
Rushdie survived the attack , but was left blind in one eye, with liver damage and paralysis in one of his hands from the damage caused by the blade.
