David de Miranda, Morante de la Puebla's full replacement in Almería

David de Miranda, Morante de la Puebla's full replacement in Almería

Morante de la Puebla will not be making his return to the Almería Fair either. After the bulls chosen by the maestro were approved, and despite the positive impressions he had, José Antonio Morante will not be able to perform in the bullring in Almería, as he is not yet fully fit enough to return to the ring. His many supporters will have to wait to see the return of the Genius of La Puebla. Everything indicates that it will be starting next week: the 1st in Palencia? The 2nd in Colmenar? The 3rd in Melilla? The 6th in Aranjuez?

In Almería, his place will be filled by David de Miranda, the summer's big hit, the Malaga Fair's big hit, where Lances de Futuro is also a company, and where José María Garzón remains true to his philosophy of paving the way for bullfighters who earn their stripes in the ring. An exceptional lineup opened by Saúl Jiménez Fortes and Juan Ortega. The ranches are: Álvaro Núñez and Vellosino.

Today's series opens with a mixed bullfight, with bulls from the López Gibaja ranch for Sergio Sánchez and Julio Norte, and two bulls without picadors for the Almería-born bullfighter Blas Márquez.

The Almería season closes on Friday, August 29, with a mixed bullfight featuring rejoneador Diego Ventura, Alejandro Talavante, and Pablo Aguado. Bulls from María Guiomar, for rejones, and from El Pilar, for matadors on foot, will be fought.
