Greenpeace activists steal a wax statue of Macron from a Paris museum.

Alleged activists from the environmental organization Greenpeace have stolen the wax statue of Emmanuel Macron from the Musée Grévin , a private institution specializing in immortalizing celebrities, from Albert Einstein to Sir Alfred Hitchcock, including Michael Jackson.

The robbery occurred late Monday morning, without violence. Two young women and a man entered the institution as tourists and stole the wax statue of the President of the Republic with apparent ease. Shortly after, the robbery was claimed by a purported Greenpeace spokesperson.

By early afternoon, police sources were uncertain about whether it was a theft stemming from an "environmental protest and protest" or a "corrupt, ironic" theft. The stolen statue is theoretically valued at around 40,000 euros . But it's difficult to know who might be interested in buying it.

The Grévin Museum is a highly regarded private institution owned by the Compagnie des Alpes group, which also commercially operates alpine sports, skiing, and entertainment venues, such as the Futuroscope.

It opened at the end of the 19th century on Boulevard Montmartre , which at the time occupied a prominent position in Parisian nightlife. Throughout the 20th century, the museum has been enriched by more than two hundred statues of national and international figures, enjoying a certain popularity on the capital's tourist routes.
