This Wednesday, September 10, 2025, American businessman Larry Ellison became the richest man in the world after a surge in Oracle's stock was confirmed.

The market's morning surge brought the tech giant's CEO's fortune to $393 billion, surpassing Elon Musk's net worth of $385 billion.

According to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, Ellison's company reported growing demand for data center capacity, which may explain the stock's surge.

According to Bloomberg News, this is the largest daily increase ever recorded in the measurement of digital assets. They also noted that the Tesla CEO had regained his position as the world's richest person last year, holding it for just over 300 days.

Once the news broke that the American businessman had surpassed Elon Musk's fortune, it was inevitable to recall his connection to the company dedicated to the manufacture of electric cars and solar-powered products.

Ellison served on Tesla's board of directors for several years , as he has a keen interest in the automotive industry. He currently owns around 15 million shares of the company.
