Hermann Bellinghausen: The recipes are already worth it

We Mexicans are born, or we We put it wherever the hell we want, Chavela Vargas, that heroine we love so much, would have declared. And by a strange mythical-territorial magnetism, our mobility gravitates toward the United States. The scenario of persecution of migrants, a huge number of them Mexican, unleashed by the Trump regime, of clear Anglo-white supremacy, is unprecedented, and we don't know how far it will go. Violent mass apprehensions, inhumane treatment, the profitable development of hellish concentration camps on its territory and in surrogate countries (or invaded, as in Guantánamo). The migrant working class in the United States is going to hell. The least bad thing that can happen is to be ripped from the job and life you have there and sent to hell. If it's not Mexico, it could be worse.
Dystopia has caught up with us. Turn off your Netflix. The white gendarme threatens the masses in Los Angeles: "I've got you pictured one by one, we'll come for you at your homes," said Big Brother from a helicopter surrounded by drones, although he was thinking of their rat nests
. This punitive hypervigilance mimics what the Palestinians had been suffering from Intifada after Intifada, although the experiences and the territorial question are different. We are no longer the laboratory of the future, only its marketing. Did you know that the ongoing massacre in Gaza is actually a vast State-of-the-Art Weapons Fair where First World manufacturers test their lethal innovations in the field, and thus advertise themselves on the market: tested in Gaza
?
We've run out of rhetorical recipes, supreme reasons, history as prophecy, its repetition as comedy, and so on. From serving everyone so well, the Jewish Holocaust ceased to serve anyone, and today it reverses itself with a horrendous promise of Hiroshima in Tehran. The most defiant military and nuclear power on the planet flouts civilized laws and brings the world to its knees. On one side, the governments of rich, white nations like Israel, and not-so-rich ones like Argentina, genuflectively surrender, support, and obeisance. Never in history has the blackmail of a single state achieved so much in such a short time. What would become of Israel if Europe hadn't tolerated the Nazis? On the other side, the Palestinians kneel, with their many consequences in Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, and Iraq. At the end of their rope, Iran, indecipherable and fearsome. Bang, bang.
History doesn't repeat itself. That's a recurring, digestible, and contagious mystification. Today is never yesterday; what we see in the Middle East, the United States, and Europe constitutes a new historical monstrosity for which we are neither politically nor mentally prepared. We are surrounded by great, decisive lies. Trump is not democracy, nor will there be a return to a lost greatness that never was. Israel is not the Jewish people
, but the modern, military, supremacist construction of Zionism, with a determination even more inflexible and cruel than the old charade of the pure Aryan
. Its vocation is Armageddon for others. The foundation of its vital doctrine is to grow and grow, kill and kill. Until it dies. Boom.
Before our eyes, in real time, the maps are being remade. The meaning of words we lazily took for granted is changing: fascism, Zionism, communism
(in Trump's words), democracy, sovereignty, equality. Any south
is uninvadable, be it Greenland, Panama, or the West Bank. After Gaza and Los Angeles, rights are vanishing, starting with international rights. And human rights, environmental rights, migration rights, labor rights, and territorial rights. Meanwhile, other nuclear war scenarios unfold that don't occur on any other planet: the war between Russia and Ukraine, the nuclear standoff between India and Pakistan.
Amidst information and information garbage, we find no way to think, act, and be effective. The calls for peace from the American Pope, the Secretary General of the United Nations, or the watered-down and perverse European Parliament could not have been more empty and impotent. Autocrats offer themselves as negotiators (Putin, Erdogan) where democratic
Europe has its hands bruised. The world is upside down. Hypocrisy rules while capitalist nations and their invincible armada of mining companies, banks, and brands benefit by equipping their Israeli creature—look how much it has grown and become somber. They all sheltered Israeliism in the West (recommended documentary: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Iq6J7Q6L0yw ) and its untouchable military theocracy.
We need to dismantle convenient explanations, leave behind improbable similes, beautiful phrases from poets and philosophers taken out of context that we have used as crutches. The past teaches, yes, but it doesn't repeat itself. And nothing guarantees that humanity will learn. It rarely does. We'll say it was coming
, but in a nuclear, artificially intelligent, hyperconnected, and omni-monitored world, we don't face a mere sum of elements. The possibilities of an unpredictable concatenation of distant events that leaves the poor butterfly of chaos theory pale are great.
