La Algaba hosts three bullfights with its traditional heifer releases

This weekend, La Algaba will celebrate the beginning of its festivities with traditional promotional bullfights . The Fair and Popular Festival, which has been announced with a play by Jaime Cruz from Algaba, will feature three bullfights without horses, taking place on September 13, 14, and 21. However, the lantern festival will begin with the lighting of the streetlights on Wednesday the 17th.

The bullring will host its forty-sixth bullfighting event, with the release of heifers after each event . A series featuring twelve young bullfighting talents. In addition to the capeas (bullfighting competitions) that will take place in the unique cart arena after each event, on Saturday the 20th and Sunday the 21st in the morning, fans will be able to try their luck with the release of heifers through the streets of the Santa Marta neighborhood.

The combinations of bullfighters and cattle ranches are as follows:

Saturday, September 13. Young bulls from the Marquis of Albaserrada ranch for Miguel A. Velázquez (Seville), David Ramírez (Huelva), Jairo López (Mexico) and Armando Rojo (Seville).

Sunday, September 14. Bulls from José Luis Osborne for Daniel Artazos (Valencia), Manuel Díaz (La Algaba), Nicasio Carbonell (La Algaba) and Antonio Aparicio (Jaén).

Sunday, September 21. Bulls from Agustín Lunar for Manuel Quintana (Córdoba), Javier Torres 'Bombita' (Seville), Pedro Caminero (Palencia) and Cristóbal de Lara (Huelva).

The bullfights will begin at 6:00 p.m. Season tickets went on sale on September 3rd, individual tickets can be purchased starting on the 8th, and on bullfight days at the bullring box office.
