Meritxell Neddermann, Manu Guix and Alfred Garcia will perform at the Posidònia Fest in Mataró
Meritxell Neddermann, Manu Guix, and Alfred Garcia are some of the artists who will perform between August 27 and 30 at the fifth edition of the Posidònia Fest, which will be held in Mataró (Maresme) with a lineup that focuses on "diversity," according to the organizers on Monday.
With stages in the Port, Plaza de Santa Maria, and La Presó, the festival will continue to "combine music, culture, and inclusivity," with performances by Libérica, Júlia Aubà, Ölivias, Ària Lua, Arar, and Marina Canet.

The festival will be opened by Libérica, the musical project led by double bassist Manel Fortià, at La Presó. On Thursday, August 28, Meritxell Neddermann will perform at the Ateneu de la Fundació Iluro in the capital of Maresme, in a sign language concert, a first for the Posidònia Fest. At the end, the artist and Júlia Aubà will offer free concerts in Plaça de Santa Maria.
The festival will continue on the 29th with concerts by Ölivias, Ària Lua, and Manu Guix at the Port of Mataró, while on the 30th it will be the turn of Arar, Marina Canet, and Alfred Garcia.
The Posidònia Fest aims to be a "meeting point" for art and culture, and this year's edition will feature photographer and visual artist Enric Lucena, who will showcase his graphic work, with a "fascinating visual universe featuring panther figures." Additionally, during the concerts by Manu Guix and Alfred Garcia, he will create a live painting.
The festival's name is related to the fact that, according to the organizers, Mataró has one of the largest posidonia meadows, occupying an area of approximately 700 hectares and home to some twenty species of fish and a large number of organisms.
