The Community of Madrid and Plaza1 present the sixth edition of 'Dine in Las Ventas'

Plaza 1 , in collaboration with the Regional Ministry of Environment, Agriculture, and the Interior of the Community of Madrid, the Madrid Academy of Gastronomy, and the Regulatory Council of Madrid Wines, presented this morning the sixth edition of "Cénate Las Ventas." This gastronomic initiative will accompany the Nighttime Bullfighting Competition, which will be held at the Las Ventas Bullring every Thursday from June 26th to July 24th, with four qualifying bullfights and a grand finale. As a new feature, Las Ventas will host a bullfighting competition on Saturday the 28th, where the gastronomic initiative will also be active.
Rafael García González , Deputy Minister of Environment, Agriculture, and the Interior, thanked Plaza 1, the company that manages the bullring, for holding this initiative. "It has become a very significant part of Madrid's summers; it's a benchmark among summer plans, and I'm sure it will be a hit with the public," he explained. "For the Ministry, it's an event that brings together tradition, the countryside, and Madrid products, and it's one of the benchmark events for promoting our products," he added.
Rafael G. Garrido, president of Plaza 1, highlighted the announced posters that "We have a responsibility to try to improve the show, and that's why we asked several of the outstanding bullfighters who had already participated in San Isidro or at the start of the season to return to bullfight in Madrid. I want to thank them for their commitment to making this competition an even more important event." For Garrido, this competition "is very well established; people really enjoy what happens in the ring and everything that is offered before and after. We continue to promote this initiative with the support of the Community of Madrid, and hopefully we can reach 50,000 spectators this year."
Chef Miriam Hernández rounded off the event with a cooking demonstration featuring Madrid-based agricultural products, served with wine from the Vinos de Madrid Designation of Origin. Specifically, for the occasion, she prepared a Negroni with violet vermouth, minced Guadarrama beef, and pork knuckle brioche.
The bullfighting competition will begin at 9:00 p.m. and will be held on Thursdays, June 26th, and July 3rd, 10th, 17th, and 24th. In addition to the aforementioned bullfighting event, the bullfighting team will also be present on Saturday, June 28th. As part of the "Dine in Las Ventas" initiative, a market featuring Madrid products will be set up in the gallery of the upper stands on the 5th, 6th, and 7th rings and on the surrounding terraces. These stalls can be enjoyed from 8:00 p.m., with doors opening until 1:30 a.m.
