Apple and Hermès surprise with an Apple Watch with a bandana strap
For their tenth year of collaboration, the Cupertino giant and the French brand are bringing the legendary square to the wrist.
It's an annual ritual: from Steve Jobs to Tim Cook, Apple's keynote unveils all the Californian giant's latest products in the space of one evening. Starting with the new generation of smartphones, the iPhone 17. But also the latest Apple Watch, both classic and Ultra. Smartwatches that are ever more powerful and ever more health-oriented: the 2025 model year combines blood pressure measurement and support for satellite emergency messages, just like the iPhone and its latest-generation competitors. The new Apple Watch Hermès Series 11 collections are available for pre-order at Hermes.com, and for sale starting Friday, September 19, 2025.
But this keynote was also the occasion to unveil the tenth anniversary of collaboration between Apple and Hermès. The famous leather goods maker from the Faubourg Saint-Honoré region surprised everyone this year by transposing a habit of elegant Parisians into the connected world: wearing a small Hermès scarf on their wrist. With this 2025 vintage, Apple and Hermès are adapting Shinsuke Kawahara's Animals Bandana silk scarf as a bracelet for the most famous of smartwatches. In leather and colors, the bandana spirit can now be worn on the wrist with an Apple Watch, with screen-printed motifs of horses, toucans, monkeys, parrots, and sloths.
