Besançon. Six enthusiasts create a new magazine to tell the basics of comics in Franche-Comté.

A quarterly magazine dedicated to discovering comic strip artists from yesterday and today who are related to the region (whether they were born there, lived there, or illustrated it). Dessins comtois , whose first issue was published in March and second has just been published, is the result of a meeting between six enthusiasts. Interview with its editor-in-chief from Besançon, Jean-Marc Loiseau.

What are your earliest memories of comics?

“When I was a kid, I subscribed to Tintin . But my parents stopped subscribing because they didn’t like comics. Especially my father! When he was angry with me, in addition to giving me a beating, he would throw my comics into the fire because I bought illustrated ones at the markets.”

When and how did the idea for this magazine “Drawings Comtois” come about?
