Nestled on the heights of the Colle Noire massif, the Cap Garonne Mining Museum is much more than a mining site steeped in history! With its galleries, exhibitions, and unique universe, it is also a true cultural treasure trove suspended between sky and sea, overlooking the harbor of Toulon. This year, once again, the entire museum team invites the public to discover and experience a unique artistic program: concerts, theater, heritage... events not to be missed, sometimes in the heart of the underground galleries, for an unforgettable immersive experience.

An intense and eclectic program

Cultural events are aimed at all those who are curious, whether they're lovers of art, music, history, or nature. Whether in the privacy of the galleries or on the sun-drenched forecourt, each event is a magical interlude hosted by a welcoming and passionate team! And this new season has many surprises in store...

Museum Night, Saturday, May 17, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.: "All aboard" - Pirates from the Ad Historia Lux association drop anchor at the museum for the temporary exhibition "The Mediterranean, Pirate Gardens."

Aperitif concerts in unusual locations

- Friday, June 13 at 7 p.m.: Joia Vocce, a female vocal quartet that takes you on an a cappella journey around the world, in an intimate and acoustic atmosphere in the very heart of the mine. Emotions guaranteed! - Sunday, June 22 at 7 p.m.: harp & flute duo, by the Glissando association, with Béatrice Pley and Claire Le Fur, a magical encounter between classical music and Martinican traditions, again in the mineral setting of the galleries. - Sunday, June 29 at 6 p.m., La Clé des chants, a choir directed by the lyrical artist Madalina Spataru, to be discovered outdoors on the forecourt, facing an exceptional panorama.

- Friday, July 4 at 7 p.m.: Alan Nash, a country evening under the stars, with one of the oldest groups of its kind in the PACA region. Western atmosphere guaranteed on the forecourt!

Open House in September

Living Heritage, September 21 and 22: To mark European Heritage Days, the museum is open all weekend, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. A wonderful opportunity to (re)discover the galleries, exhibitions on minerals and Mediterranean pirates, as well as the site's natural treasures.

Theater in the galleries

- Saturday, October 11 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, October 12 at 3 p.m., The Metamorphosis, a free adaptation of Kafka, by Killian Chapput. An intense one-man show in the shoes of Gregor Samsa. - Saturday, October 11 at 9 p.m., Il me reste moi, a show combining theater, dance, and music by Stéphanie Slimani. A cry from the heart for powerful and vibrant female voices.

A unique cultural experience, combining history, art and emotions, in an exceptional setting between sea and mountains!
