Grussenheim. Micro-museum: special opening for the 80th anniversary of the Liberation


The micro-museum is open to the public, and members of the association will answer any questions visitors may have. Located opposite 20 rue d'Alsace, within the presbytery garden, the "Friends of Annette" micro-museum is housed in an old half-timbered building dating from the mid-18th century.
Dismantled in Schwobsheim, one of the smallest museums in France , which housed a bakery, was rebuilt in Grussenheim in 2017. Inaugurated in 2018 in the presence of academic Jean-Robert Pitte, the micro-museum houses heritage collections linked to the history of Grussenheim.
On Saturday, August 23 at 6 p.m., Jean-François Hazoumé will give a lecture on Audie Murphy, an American hero between history and memories . Audie Murphy distinguished himself in particular during the liberation of the Colmar Pocket.
On Sunday, August 24 at 2 p.m., Jean-Louis Fleith will present the Holtzwihr – Riedwihr Memory Trail , which has its equivalent in Grussenheim and Jebsheim.
Throughout the weekend, the documentary 1945-2025 Sur les chemins de la liberté episode 4, produced by TV7, the local television station in Colmar, will be broadcast on the big screen as part of the 80th anniversary of the Liberation with Jean-Philippe Strauel who tells the story of Grussenheim.
Finally, the exhibition The Second World War in Grussenheim through 16 color photographs , which was presented in Grussenheim and Colmar in January, will once again be visible for all those who missed it or would like to see it again.
The museum will reopen to the public during the Saint Lucia Market on December 5, 6 and 7, 2025.
