"I can no longer be satisfied with warming hearts without denouncing what is collapsing around us," writes the singer, who won an award at the Victoires de la Musique last February.
And she asked the president: "Don't decorate your communications with my songs if you're also allowing a massacre to take place." "Recognizing the Palestinian state is not enough"For Zaho de Sagazan, France's recognition of the State of Palestine, announced this week by Emmanuel Macron, is not enough. "It's a symbolic gesture, but it's not enough," she writes, before urging: "Demand a total ceasefire, end military cooperation. Ensure that humanitarian aid, blocked for weeks by Israel, can finally get through. Sanction violations of international law. Support investigations into war crimes." She concludes: "It's about demanding actions, not words. To rediscover our hearts, our lucidity, our humanity."
This Sunday, as a "mass" famine increasingly threatens the Palestinian territory, Israel announced a daily tactical pause in several areas of the Gaza Strip to allow the passage of humanitarian convoys.
