Louhans. The Zic Seille'n Sun festival returns to electrify the Fête de la Musique

Like last year, the Fête de la Musique is transforming into a full-fledged festival in Louhans. Eight bands, with a slight electro bent this year, will take turns performing on Friday and Saturday evenings at Place de la Charité.

The coincidence of the calendar has once again done things well: like last year, the traditional Fête de la Musique falls on a weekend. It didn't take much for the Synesthé'Zic association to pull out of its hat a formula that had already worked well for the 2024 edition: instead of the traditional municipal stage, limited to one evening, the Louhannais will be treated to a real festival, with two evenings of free concerts on the Place de la Charité on Friday, June 20 and Saturday, June 21. A formula that attracted more than 2,500 people last year, with bands with national, even international, reputations.

Synesthé'Zic has once again activated its networks to produce a lineup that, once again, looks great. The most dazzling headliner? Twinkle, the new project by Julien and Fabrice Oresta, two founding members of the legendary French dub band High Tone, will close the festival in style on Saturday evening. Other well-known French bands will be present, such as Kaophonic Tribu and its trance blending tribal and rock, or Caesaria, a rock band that was a favorite of the recent Eurockéennes de Belfort.

Like last year, a significant amount of space is given to local artists. Like Montpon-based Maïté Merlin, who will open the festivities on Friday, or the Mâconnais singer Celestin. Not to mention the Bresse dance troupe Mouv'on, which will provide breakdancing demonstrations between concerts on Friday and Saturday evenings, or the Jura association Snail Prod, which will lead the audience in dances featuring trad and dub-electro. In short, a very eclectic program for Synesthé'Zic, with a slight electro emphasis, because you can't change your ways.

The association's DNA is also respected in everything that doesn't involve music. In addition to concerts, the Zic Seille'n Sun festival will feature a craft market with around ten exhibitors. The beer served on site will be organic, produced by two local brewers, and the food served on site will also be sourced, "as much as possible," from local products, the association promises.
