Meuse. Béhourd: a combat sport in armor at the Medieval Festival of Thillombois Castle

⚔️Here is a sport straight out of the corridors of time. A sport in full swing, which has managed to structure itself in recent years at the national level articulated around the Federation of Medieval Combat Associations in armor in duels or in teams: Behourd. And if in its own sound, this sport rings in our ears with all the centuries that separate us, it is in its modern version that it is practiced.
The Thillombois public will have the pleasure of discovering these fights supervised by strict rules, thanks to Lotharii Regnum, a Moselle team.
Inspired by medieval tournaments, Béhourd is practiced on foot: "Two teams compete with weapons and hand-to-hand techniques, in a spectacular combat combining sport and historical reenactment. These modern-day knights will introduce you to this intense discipline throughout the weekend," enthuses Jean-Luc Demandre, recalling that the armor weighs up to 25 kg. The association is already planning other major events in the future in Thillombois for this very physical, original and spectacular sport.
