Nastyjoe ready to take to the stage at Moulin du Rousseau

Nastyjoe ready to take to the stage at Moulin du Rousseau
Nastyjoe's music is reminiscent of the 90s. DR

A season resumption under the sign of discovery at the Moulin du Rousseau (read page 6), with already a highlight for the Some Produkt association which welcomes, Saturday September 13 at 9 p.m., Nastyjoe, a young and essential post-punk band from Gironde, and the Périgord duo Meantimes.

N astyjoe stands out with melodies that undeniably recall the 90s. Outsiders on the French rock scene, the group offers electrifying performances with a rare sincerity.

Tension and sonic power, harmonious verses and wild choruses, their music between indie rock and post-punk, recalls Fontaines DC, The Cure, Blur and Shame.

After a debut EP and a hundred concerts across France, Nastyjoe has released new compositions for a highly anticipated debut album. When a classical violin and a rock bass unite, the unexpected emerges. Meantimes is a unique alchemy between finesse and intensity, a duo that transports you to a universe where emotions mingle with sound textures and cinematic landscapes.

A local duo

Born during a jam session in 2021, the duo embodies a meeting of musical worlds: Anne-Claire, a violinist with classical and electro influences, and Thibault, a bassist from the noise and rock scenes, including a member of Galva, Blockers, Ravage and Y '.

Together, they push the limits of their instruments to create immersive music, as vibrant as it is striking, with inspirations ranging from film soundtracks like John Murphy's "28 Days Later" or Clint Mansell's "Requiem for a Dream", to the captivating atmospheres of Mogwai (The Returned). Prices: 10 euros / 7 euros (under 25). Refreshments on site, with BAM craft beer, wines and soft drinks. Doors open at 8:30 p.m.
