This Friday, Prime Video releases McWalter , a parody film in which Mister V plays a silly secret agent, born out of his YouTube videos. From the internet to the cinema and the frozen food aisle of your supermarket, the Isère native has become a star. Portrait.

"The number one agent of the FBI and the Arcachon municipal police": this is the introduction of McWalter, an openly crazy and idiotic secret agent, and creation of the Isère YouTuber Mister V since 2015. After four short films, still available on his YouTube channel, his character is moving on to feature film in a film simply titled McWalter , available this Friday on Prime Video.
Mister V logically reprises his role as McWalter, joined by Géraldine Nakache, François Berléand and Vincent Dedienne . Directed by Simon Astier, a comedy specialist (the knight Yvain in Kaamelott , or the series Hero Corp ), McWalter is intended as much as a tribute to the absurd humor of the Americans ZAZ (Jerry Zucker, Jim Abrahams and David Zucker - the series Y a-t-il un flic ... ) as to the duo Kad and Olivier. "I was a huge fan of L'Antotologie by Kad and O, I watched the DVDs over and over when I was a kid. McWalter clearly wouldn't exist without them," Mister V emphasizes in an interview with GQ magazine.

Since 2008, first on Dailymotion and then on YouTube, Mister V - Yvick Letexier by his birth name, who appeared in 1993 in Grenoble - has helped popularize short comedy video formats on the internet. A huge success, with 6.4 million subscribers .
Platinum discBut he was then able to dabble in many areas. Firstly, music, and rap: first with the songs Sapassoupa (literally “does it pass or not”), then with two studio albums, Double V in 2017 (platinum disc) and MVP in 2020.
Then there was the frozen food section of your supermarkets, with Delamama pizzas. Based on the parody character Kevino Delamama, Mister V (with the help of Universal Music) created a real range of pizzas in 2022, which is still on sale today. A brand that even allowed him to sponsor his hometown football club, GF 38, during the 2024-25 season.
Finally, there is comedy. After supporting roles, both in cinema ( Place publique by Agnès Jaoui or All Inclusive by Fabien Onteniente) and on television ( Le Flambeau: Les Aventuriers de Chupacabra ), Mister V landed his first leading roles in 2025, with the film Banger opposite Vincent Cassel (released on Netflix) then with McWalter . “People knew me with this character and I didn’t see myself arriving with a comedy that didn’t resemble me. I would have been less confident,” he admits to GQ .
For the Isérois, the next step will be the GP Explorer, the famous internet star car race, in October. And this, even though, thanks to his popularity, Mister V is now much more than an “internet star.”
