The BCG theater in Beauronne celebrates its 20th anniversary

The Beauronne village hall will host the amateur troupe Beauronne Comédie Groupe 2025 on Friday, May 30 (and Saturday, June 7) for a series of plays, starting at 9 p.m.
B eauronne, the former pottery capital at the Porte de la Double, remains faithful to its other passion: theater. For a little over 20 years, every Wednesday evening a dozen amateur actors have occupied the village hall from the end of winter to indulge in their favorite pastime. The program of the B .CG ( B eauronne Comédie Groupe 2025), directed by Françoise Lepape and sound engineer Olivier Roubault, brings together everything that has always made this small village theater a success: nearly two hours of comedies, sketches, and boulevard theater.
This year, it will be a comedy, "Ces gens du showbiz" by Stef Russeil, about the world of criticism. It will be followed by two sketches of five and seven minutes on the art of painting and the surprises of passersby. Then will come "L'adoption," a short play on this always sensitive subject, but also a short monologue on the subtlety of "La lettre de rupture" and a patois story on "La langue animale," the same thing in French immediately after. Jérôme Dubois' one-act comedy "Faut prendre la vie du bon côté" (You Have to Take Life on the Bright Side) will conclude the evening.
Beauronne Community Hall, Friday, May 30 and Saturday, June 7 at 9 p.m. Prices: adults 8 euros, under-12s free. Reservations recommended at 09 72 97 17 88 or 06 75 80 51 53.
