Theater, music, games... Everything you need to know about the cultural program for this early summer in Peymeinade

"Bringing culture into a municipal project is not only a passion but also a mission," assures Andrée Marckert, deputy for cultural life, communication and events. A mission that takes on its full meaning through a summer program that is "colorful, dynamic and welcoming, under the sign of diversity, with well-known and lesser-known names, popular events and discoveries."

Shared laughter and festive music to open the ball

Kicking off tonight at 7 p.m. in the village hall (admission €15), with the "A voir et à manger" festival and a delirious theatrical improvisation show. On the menu: a unique experience. Spectators submit ideas, randomly chosen by the actors, who perform, without prior consultation, entirely improvised sketches. The audience becomes co-author of a hilarious show, on the border between theater and performance.

Tomorrow, Place du Centenaire will be transformed into a food and music venue starting at 6 p.m. A market featuring organic producers and local artisans will be set up there. At 7:30 p.m., the Jussanam group will transport the audience to the gentle and captivating world of bossa nova, before handing over the stage to the Baby Boom collective and their show "Happy Days," which will immerse the audience in the rock 'n' roll of the 50s and 60s.

Friendly, family-friendly gatherings

On Friday, June 13, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., the Peymeinade library is hosting a free games night open to all. Board games, new releases, and classics are all part of the fun, with family or friends, a mix of laughter and good-natured challenges.

Then it's time for the outdoor summer evenings: on Thursday, July 11 and Thursday, July 24 at 9 p.m., the Daudet Pine Forest will host two concerts. Harpsody Orchestra will perform "Un air de cinéma," a musical journey through the great themes of the seventh art, blending classics and modern rhythms. The band Magnifico will offer a vibrant tribute to Queen, carried by the infectious energy of five passionate musicians.

A popular tradition still alive

It's impossible to imagine a summer in Peymeinade without its traditional public ball, scheduled for Saturday, July 12th, starting at 7:30 p.m. on Place du Centenaire. This event, co-organized by the festival committee and the Peimenado parents' association, is a true summer ritual that brings together all generations in a festive atmosphere.

Finally, the season will come to a gentle end with the Jazz Apéro on Saturday, July 26, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., at Place Gervais-Court. A vibrant tribute to Claude Nougaro, the poet of swing, revisited through his iconic songs like "Armstrong," "Tu verras," "Bidonville," and "Le Cinéma."
