This Saturday, August 23, the Stock Car Club Alsace (SCCA) is organizing its big stock car night in a field in Widensolen. The race will start at 6:30 p.m., ending around 1 a.m. with a spectacular finale.

President Stephan Spitz and his entire staff have been hard at work for several days putting everything in place: preparing the track, installing the lighting, marking out the parking areas, the parking area for the cars and all the drivers, mechanics and other handymen of all kinds.

On Saturday, 86 drivers will take the start in the different categories, the SCCA drivers, the red and white, will be 24, 35 will come from the Illzach club, eleven from Moder, other regions of France will be present, Germany and Switzerland also.

During the evening, a full round of Renault 4, a legendary race from the 90s, which they instigated.

On the circuit, around twenty cars will compete per round, after having organized the French championships over two days in 2024, this year they return to a traditional race over one evening.

Among the SCCA drivers will be Alana Spitz, Claude's daughter, who raced in the 90s. At 20 years old, the beautiful young girl will not be fooled. She will not be afraid to face the old veterans and, as small as she is, she will know how to impose herself and will be counted on. She is a Spitz of the 4th generation! They have big teeth. Her uncle Stephan has already raced at Bercy and her cousin Charly is running at full speed on the stock-car tracks.

One thing is certain, the show will be there and the drivers will do everything to offer a spectacular evening to the public always eager for barrel rolls and other flips.

The SCCA members are grateful to Mayor Josiane Bigel, to Christian Wiss for making his land available, and to Fire Chief Julien Bueb and his team for their support and assistance. Without them, none of this would be possible.

Saturday, August 23rd, starting at 6:30 p.m. in Widensolen. Refreshments and snacks. Adult admission: €8, for ages six to 12, €4.
