Present 18 large paintings made between 2018 and 2025, three of which specifically for the Florentine exhibition. The title chosen for the exhibition, curated by Gabriele Simongini returns the poetics of Wang Yancheng, elaborating a pictorial language based on a synthesis between the East and West, between gesture and meditation, matter and spirit. In his works reflect the tradition of landscape painting Chinese and the lesson of European and American abstraction, so as a profound reflection on contemporary science, on quantum mechanics and the relationship between human beings and the universe. "Michelangelo - explains Wang Yancheng - teaches us that art is not just representation, but a bridge to higher dimensions, where energy and spirit merge into a single, eternal manifestation. His works continue to inspire, reminding us that art is an act of connection with the universe and with infinity". "I understood that for him (Wang Yancheng) to enter this place had a particular, very strong meaning. Maybe we Italians and Europeans are losing this ability to to get excited, I felt instead in him and in his painting a extraordinary respect. He was very intelligent, not being able to directly confront these masterpieces that they represent something unattainable, he wanted to capture it the spiritual energy that crosses the centuries and surpasses the limits geographical and cultural" underlines Gabriele Simongini. Absent for institutional commitments Massimo Osanna, current director at interim of the Accademia Gallery and general director of Museums of the Ministry of Culture, which entrusts its commentary to a note: "Hosting the Galleria dell'Accademia in Florence Wang Yancheng's solo exhibition represents a new chapter for the museum precious opportunity for dialogue with the present. An opportunity to welcome contemporaneity and encourage a lively debate between tradition and current artistic research, between visions born in different eras and contexts, but united by the same tension towards the invisible, the essential, the universal". The exhibition will remain open until September 21, 2025.
