In bookstores from May 23, ' Profession Press Agent : survival manual'. Communicating cinema, fiction and stars through mistakes, anecdotes and successes, the first book in Italy on entertainment communication, published by Les Flâneurs Edizioni. Who is a press agent and what does he do? Pierluigi Manzo , press officer for cinema and TV for over twenty years, takes us into his world, made of flashes, cameras, film sets and covers, to tell us, with irony and lightness, how to promote a film, a TV series and how to manage the image of the stars of the small and big screen. 'Profession Press Agent: survival manual', through practical examples, memories, considerations, tries to outline a work methodology for this profession, explaining, for example, how to write a press release, manage an interview, a red carpet or a conference and find the best strategies to conquer spaces in the media.
Advice on how to relate to journalists and artists, how to behave in the most complex situations and manage your self-control, respect certain rules, mostly unwritten, and slowly learn the "tricks of the trade". In short, how to navigate and survive behind the scenes of the entertainment world, where the scenic fiction of a film or a show mixes with the individual realities of those who work there, which alternates corporate logic with that of the 'dream factory'. The book will be presented as a national preview at the Riff - Riviera International Film Festival in Sestri Levante (Genoa), Thursday 8 May at 11.00.
