Cinema, Caivano Film Atelier: training project for young people with Leonardo Di Costanzo begins

'Giovani in scena – Caivano Film Atelier' is the name of the new training project led by director Leonardo Di Costanzo (Elisa, Ariaferma) and aimed at aspiring videomakers between the ages of 16 and 26, residing in the city of Caivano. The initiative, promoted by the Campania Region Film Commission, proposes the launch of a documentary film workshop aimed at studying audiovisual language techniques and, in the final phase, producing a collective documentary film.

The project, presented in the Caivano Town Hall by Lucia Fortini, Regional Councillor for Schools and Youth Policies, is part of the interventions planned by the Campania Region as part of the agreement with the Presidency of the Council of Ministers on initiatives supported by the Youth Policy Fund.

"The young people of Caivano, the young people of Campania," emphasizes Councilor Lucia Fortini, "have extraordinary talent, energy, and creativity. Initiatives like this help bring out their potential and give them the opportunity to express themselves. Investing in culture and art means believing in our young people, in their strength and in their ability to build a future and hope for all."

"Among the numerous projects supported over the past 20 years," adds Titta Fiore, president of FCRC, "in addition to supporting film and audiovisual productions, significant attention and adequate resources have been devoted to professional training and development, which has enabled hundreds of young talents to now be well-positioned in the film and audiovisual professions."

Participants in the Caivano Film Atelier will be selected through a public call, guided by expert tutors and equipped with professional equipment. "This new project," emphasizes Maurizio Gemma, director of the FCRC, "is part of a program to educate young people about creativity through the use of audiovisual language, a process we have already successfully tested in our first project dedicated to the island of Procida. The organizational coordination of the Caivano Film Atelier will be handled by Antonella Di Nocera's production company Parallelo 41, while the workshop's pedagogical direction will be entrusted to Leonardo di Costanzo, who previously oversaw the pedagogical direction of the Procida Film Atelier, as well as the artistic direction of the collective documentary film "Procida," selected in 2023 as a work out of competition at the Locarno Film Festival."
