The Gallerie d'Italia in Milan, Naples, Turin and Vicenza are offering some activities for Saturday 10 May and Sunday 11 May to celebrate the eleventh edition of Kid Pass Day and Mother's Day .

On Sunday 11 May all mothers accompanied by their children will be able to access the museum with a reduced entrance fee and this will also be an opportunity to visit the permanent collections and the temporary exhibitions in progress. At the Gallerie d'Italia – Milan it is possible to discover the masterpieces of the permanent collections, through three historic buildings of fine architecture: the 19th century itinerary, which also includes the collections of the Cariplo Foundation, and the Cantiere del '900 itinerary dedicated to 20th century art. On Saturday 10 May and Sunday 11 May at 4:30 pm the family workshop “Sketchbook” will be held. A special workshop dedicated to drawing and its secrets. Through a journey into the world of art, it will be possible to experiment with different techniques and discover unexpected materials to give shape to the most creative ideas. On Sunday 11 May at 11 am it will be possible to participate in the family workshop “The theatre of materials” .

An immersive experience where artistic materials will not only be objects of study, but will become the protagonists of a theatrical narration, offering a dynamic and interactive perspective on art and its physicality. Participants will be asked to move their bodies as if they were matter shaped by the artist's hand to discover the properties of matter and its creative possibilities. The activity is recommended for young experimenters aged 4 to 9 and costs €5 (free admission for the child and a companion). At the Gallerie d'Italia - Naples, as part of the "L'Ospite illustre" exhibition , the exchange program with important Italian and foreign museums launched in 2015, it is possible to admire Raffaello Sanzio's masterpiece, Lady with a Unicorn, on loan from the Galleria Borghese in Rome. On Saturday 10 May at 4:30 pm there will be a guided tour for families "A special guest!".

The opportunity to borrow Raphael's masterpiece will allow you to admire a masterpiece of art of all time. With eyes wide open and ears pricked, the little ones will discover the figure of a slightly mischievous unicorn: he was hiding because he is very shy, but now he is visible right in the arms of this beautiful woman! The path is dedicated to children aged between 4 and 6 years and includes translation in LIS and the use of AAC supports (Augmentative and Alternative Communication).

On Sunday 11 May at 11:30 a.m. the “A special guest” tour will be held, dedicated to children aged between 7 and 11. The exceptional loan of the work Lady with Unicorn from the Galleria Borghese in Rome offers children the opportunity to learn more about how Raphael worked: preparatory drawings, pigments, brushes and the study of works by contemporary artists. The secrets that this masterpiece hides will involve children in an amazing workshop that helps them understand the dusting technique. At the Gallerie d'Italia – Turin the exhibition Carrie Mae Weems: The Heart of the Matter continues, created in collaboration with Aperture and curated by Sarah Meister and the exhibition Olivo Barbieri. Other Spaces, curated by Corrado Benigni. On Saturday 10 May and Sunday 11 May at 10:30 a.m. it will be possible to participate in the family tour “Segni in vista!”. An activity dedicated to the discovery of LIS through play and a guided tour to be… noted! With the help of a mediator, you will learn some signs and expressions to enjoy a pleasant discovery inside the museum. On Sunday, May 11th at 4 pm, there will be a guided tour “Super studio with mom!” A special activity to explore the dynamics of a photography studio. After a guided tour of the Carrie Mae Weems: The Heart of the Matter exhibition, families will have the opportunity to step into the shoes of the artist and her creative team, interpreting some shots that celebrate the everyday life of the domestic space and shared affections.
