Libraries on Stage. An Evening Under the Stars with Shakespeare at Palla

CASTELLANZA (Varese) Second appointment in the Libraries on Stage series. Saturday at 9 pm, Piazza Castegnate will host Shakespeare a Palla , conceived and performed by Davide Lorenzo Palla . The show presents The Tempest in a modern language that makes the Bard's work accessible, exploring the themes of forgiveness and power through the plot of love and intrigue on Prospero's island. The project, characterized by a narrative approach that balances fidelity to the original text and contemporary communication, is accompanied by a podcast of the same name, available on streaming platforms. Libraries on Stage is supported by the Cariplo Foundation through the Cultura Diffusa 2024 call for proposals, which involves 15 libraries in the province of Varese with a program of 30 performances. Shakespeare a Palla is an experiment in theatrical dissemination that explores the relationship between classical culture and contemporary society, making masterpieces of world drama accessible through contemporary communication methods, prioritizing audience interaction and the deconstruction of traditional theatrical mechanisms.
