All We Know About Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s 2025 Met Gala Plans

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have purposely stayed out of the spotlight this spring, but tonight’s Met Gala offers the couple an exciting opportunity to step back into the public eye.

So will the singer and Kansas City Chiefs tight end make their red carpet debut at the prestigious fashion event? It’s possible, as Kelce was photographed in New York City on May 1, dressed in a preppy white ensemble. Swift wasn’t seen with him, but the “Welcome to New York” musician has a home in the city and is able to stay undercover when she wants to.

Even so, sources spoke as recently as last week about Swift’s desire to lay low following her Eras Tour. One Page Six insider debunked rumors about Swift and Kelce’s relationship status after he was seen in Las Vegas without her on April 29. “They’re still so in love and enjoying spending time with their friends and each other during the offseason,” the source said. “There’s no trouble at all.”

An insider additionally told Entertainment Tonight on April 23, “She and Travis have been laying low, traveling, and enjoying some time off and quiet time together.”

Us Weekly published an extensive update on the couple early last month. One source said that Kelce and Swift intend to be more private going forward. “Taylor and Travis have learned that so much attention on their relationship is not the best thing,” the source said. “Travis wants to take [a breather] from the public eye. He was working too much last year, and he didn’t play as well as he wanted. He wants to have a good season [later this year] and not have the focus be on his relationship with Taylor.”

That being said, Kelce and Swift might opt out of attending one of the year’s most highly publicized events. Plus, if they do decide to take 2025 off, there’s always 2026.

Swift last attended the Met Gala in 2016, while Kelce has never been.
