FICG celebrates its 40th anniversary with a solid selection of Ibero-American films.

The 40th edition of the Guadalajara International Film Festival (FICG) will take place from June 6 to 14, 2025. The film festival has revealed the official selection of productions that will compete in the Ibero-American Fiction Feature Film section, one of the most anticipated of the festival.
This category includes feature-length fiction films produced in Latin America, Spain, and Portugal.

SIAPA reports a water outage in this Guadalajara neighborhood.The awards for this section include the Mayahuel statuette and 500,000 Mexican pesos for Best Ibero-American Fiction Film , a prize awarded to the majority producer. The coveted Mayahuel statuette will also be awarded in the categories of Best First Feature Film, Best Director, Best Screenplay, Best Cinematography, and Best Performance.
This time, the competition features 13 films that reflect the diversity of themes, styles, and perspectives that currently characterize Ibero-American cinema. The list of selected feature films is as follows:
