Pedro Moreno is free after his arrest in Florida.

Last Thursday, May 15, the Cuban actor and model Pedro Moreno was deprived of his liberty in Miami, Florida on alleged charges of robbery and domestic violence. However, his time in prison was not long, as it was announced that he was imprisoned this Friday.

According to the official version, the fight began after Moreno tried to check Barbara's phone, which led to a struggle over the device. The actor managed to take it away, so his then-wife decided to call 911 from their oldest daughter's phone, who saw what happened. Despite the separation, the family still lives together.

After this, Moreno was taken to the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center in Florida, where he appeared before authorities and was held on $1,000 bail.

Upon leaving, he spoke to the press, claiming it was all a misunderstanding: "We're going home now.

"I think the more discreet we are about the situation, the better it will be for the children."

He also denied reports linking him to a violent robbery: "I heard they're saying I robbed a store, an armed robbery... nothing to do with it. Just read what the official report says, word for word, and that's what happened."

Pedro stated that his version of events coincides with that of his then-wife and called on the media not to distort official information: "Don't add one more word, don't add one less word," he pleaded.

For its part, Bárbara Estévez downplayed what happened and clarified that there was no physical assault. According to her testimony, the argument arose because Pedro refused to return her cell phone. and decided to call emergency services without imagining the consequences.

"He didn't hit me. We were arguing over whether he would give me back my cell phone. He didn't want to give it back to me. That's when I called 911," she explained.

According to the program El Gordo y la Flaca, although Estévez dropped the robbery charge, he maintained the domestic violence complaint, which is why the actor had to post bail to get out of prison. So far, Bárbara has not confirmed this information.

During the hearing, Pedro was asked if he had witnessed physical conflicts between his parents as a child and how it had impacted him. He replied that yes, it had happened when he was a minor. The judge warned him that his own children could be scarred by what they witnessed that day, to which Moreno replied, "The children were asleep," referring to his younger children.
