The continuous cycle of the April Fair kicks off with an eye on Seville's May 1st: Morante, Ortega and Aguado

A new and crowded open day at the Maestranza bullring was the prologue to the ongoing April fair cycle. The bullfights begin this Sunday with an eye toward Thursday, May 1, when Morante de la Puebla, Juan Ortega, and Pablo Aguado are announced—the most Sevillian lineup and, probably, the most anticipated, given the speed at which tickets sold out at the box office hours after going on sale.

This bullfight will be one of three broadcast on Canal Sur , as EL MUNDO reported, along with those on May 3 and 11 (Victorino and Miura). The bullfighting season kicks off this Sunday with the return of Fuente Ymbro for Lama de Góngora, Calerito, and Samuel Navalón, who is making his debut on the main circuit after having left an unbeatable impression upon his confirmation in Madrid at the last Autumn bullfighting fair , just days after his doctorate in Albacete. Since bullfighting fans are like that, they've deliberately ignored him. Until Pagés gave him this spot.

The following day , Marco Pérez and Javier Zulueta will compete in a head-to-head match, the latter of whom were the stars of the open day at the Maestranza bullring. They had already faced each other in Zaragoza at the last San Jorge Fair, when the Sevillian won by the narrowest of margins in a rare bet by his managers. Pérez now faces the big event with the six San Isidro bulls in his farewell as a novillero in Madrid. Six days later, he takes the alternative bull in Nimes. Zulueta will do so at the San Miguel Fair. They will share the luxury of having Morante as his sponsor. The bulls in Monday's interesting event belong to the Alejandro Talavante ranch.

The two young bullfighters shared an autograph session in Seville that lasted more than two hours and graciously posed for photos with all the fans who requested them. Marco Pérez and Javier Zulueta are facing a key date in their respective fledgling careers.
