This New Video of Beyoncé’s Daughter Rumi Shows Just How Much She’s Grown on Tour

Rumi Carter is gaining confidence each time she appears on her mom Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter Tour—and her growth is especially clear in a video her grandmother Tina Knowles shared on July 13 from the Atlanta show.

The 7-year-old joins her mom and big sister, Blue Ivy Carter, while Beyoncé sings “Protector.” Rumi twirls as she steps out onstage, waves at the crowd, and later mouths the words “I love you” to them. She beams when Bey tells everyone to “give it up for Rumi.” The clip is adorable, and her grandmother couldn’t contain her pride on Instagram.

Knowles gushed about Rumi, writing, “My grandbaby girl Rumi in Red ❤️” Watch the clip, which already has 535,000 views, in full below:

Rumi has wanted to be onstage for years. In June, Tina told ELLE UK that Rumi began asking her mom during the 2023 Renaissance World Tour if she could join.

“Rumi, for the last tour, just every day, said, ‘I want to go out there. I want to,’” Tina said. “She wanted to experience it, too. And so Beyoncé is allowing her to do it this time. And I’m really happy about it, because she has fun out there. She gets to be a kid, and when she gets offstage, she’s right back to being Rumi, the little kid, you know, the little 7-year-old, adorable.”

In May, Tina noted that Rumi was learning from Blue, calling it “big sis energy in training. 🥹”

“The way she watches Blue and mirrors her every move… you can tell she’s taking notes,” Tina wrote. “She doesn’t just want to join the legacy…she wants to SLAY it too! Rumi said on last tour that she was ready to hit the stage. She learned choreography and was ready. I’m so happy to see her on stage with her mommy and her sister. She really did straight out there. One day she’s gonna cut loose and walk down the runway one day you watch!! Rumi❤️❤️ is also a great songwriter already! She will be a force to be reckoned with just wait!❤️❤️”
