YouTube once again takes aim at bullfighting: it censors the San Isidro Fair promotional spot for its "violent content."
It's happened again. The start of the San Isidro Fair has brought a new case of inexplicable censorship of bullfighting by YouTube, which has removed the promotional spot for the season due to its "explicit violent content."
The video, produced by Plaza1's communications department, shows anything but violence. The spectacular production brings vitality, emotion, magic, and culture to the world's most important ongoing series. It does so by drawing on the memory of the "blackout" of April 28th to present the San Isidro Fair as a "miracle" of light and unpredictable magic.
"A drone specialist captured daring footage of all the twists and turns of Las Ventas, conveying with these shots that nothing is impossible during a San Isidro bullfight ," explains the video from Plaza Uno. YouTube censorship won't prevent the Fair, which begins this Friday and runs until June 15, from being a huge success in terms of public attendance.
