For the eighth time, fans of theater, improvisation, and the art of acting will be able to participate in events at the Janowo Artistic Village. This annual festival takes place in a small, forgotten village near Karnice and Rewal. During the summer, Janowo becomes a cultural center, hosting some of Poland's greatest actors.

The first performance will take place on July 11.

The event, according to the organizers, will feature the usual lineup of well-known names. Featuring performances by Joanna Szczepkowska, Artur Barciś, Joanna Trzepiecińska, Zbigniew Zamachowski, Lena Ledoff, Maurycy Polaski, and many others. The program includes performances, recitals, and improvisations.

"This year, we've invited improvisers again, and we've invited stars again—actors from the headlines who have been appearing with us for several years. Some are returning for a repeat visit. I think the record holder is Olga Bończyk, who's back for the fourth time. She liked it so much," says Adam Owczarek from the Janowo Artistic Village. "On the first weekend, we're also starting with fairy tales, because that's a regular part of our program. And throughout the summer, you can bring your children to Janowo three times a week. We've designed it so that not only children but also adults can enjoy these performances."

One of the attractions will be the pre-premiere performance of "Dom Weselny," starring Joanna Żółkowska and Beata Rybotycka. Preview performances are scheduled for August 5th and 6th. There are also other surprises.

"The Sinatra Project is an interesting piece," explains Adam Owczarek. "Łukasz Mazurek will play Frank Sinatra. He sings very well, has a great rapport with the audience, and of course, he also looks a bit like Frank Sinatra. He'll sing the artist's greatest hits, and he does it with real flair and class, because he's an improvising actor. It's very interesting to listen to."

In addition to theater and music, the organizers have also prepared pottery workshops, macramé workshops, and painting exhibitions. In addition to the stage in Janów, a gallery, a café, and a bookstore are also open during the event.

"Janowo is a former German village dating back to 1870, and its buildings are truly impressive. Currently, there are three residents. We're trying to adapt the remaining properties to accommodate various attractions," says Iwona Przytulska, co-organizer of the Janowo Artistic Village. "The stage is located in a tent that can accommodate 200 spectators. This is where all our performers have performed since the very beginning of the Janowo Artistic Village."

He adds that the village itself is worth visiting due to its unique atmosphere and scenery.

– People come to Janów not only for the performances, but also to feel a bit of the rural atmosphere – says Iwona Przytulska.
