Colosseum, Uffizi and Pompeii are the most visited attractions in Italy

The Colosseum in Rome, the Gallerie degli Uffizi in Florence and the Archaeological Park of Pompeii top the podium of the most visited museums in Italy in 2024, according to data released by the Italian Ministry of Culture.
With 14.7 million national and foreign visitors last year, the Colosseum archaeological complex in the Italian capital took the gold medal in the statistics revealed last Monday (12) by the government. The high flow of visitors generated more than 100 million euros (R$ 625 million) for the site.
In second place is the Gallerie degli Uffizi, in Tuscany, which received 5.2 million people, leading to revenue of 62 million euros (R$ 387 million).
The Pompeii Archaeological Park, in Campania, closes the podium, with 4.2 million tourists and ticket sales that reached 55 million euros (R$ 344 million).
Other national highlights include the Pantheon in Rome, with 4 million tourists, followed by the Accademia Gallery in Florence, with 2 million tickets. The list also includes the Roman Castel Sant'Angelo, the Egyptian Museum in Turin and the Reggia di Caserta in Campania, which has a good attendance.
