International Snail Festival returns to Castro Marim this month

The Revelim de Santo António, in Castro Marim, will once again host another edition of the International Snail Festival on the 18th, 19th and 20th of July, starting at 6 pm, with lots of music, entertainment and gastronomy.

On Friday, July 18th, after the festival's opening, Charanga Los del Ruedo will entertain attendees with their talent throughout the entire Caracol International Festival grounds, starting at 6:30 pm.

In the evening, the amphitheater stage will host a concert by Domingos e Amigos at 8:00 pm, followed by fado singer Fábia Rebordão at 10:00 pm.

On Saturday, July 19th, it will be the turn of Pardais à Solta to liven up the International Caracol Festival from 6:30 pm, preceding a concert by the Spanish band Los Gurumelos, at 10 pm.

The night will end with a performance by Saturday's headliner, Luís Gomes from the Algarve, with his Latin themes.

On Sunday, July 20th, street entertainment will be provided by Olho's 4, at 6:30 pm, preceding a concert by Jorge & os «Queridos».

To conclude another edition of the International Snail Festival, the Revelim de Santo António amphitheater will host the show "Eis o Algarve", performed by accordionist Nelson Conceição.

The venue will be made up of the usual stalls, run by various associations and clubs, which will present the best recipes for snails and other delicacies.

The International Snail Festival will also feature several samples of other Spanish flavors, coming from the other side of the Guadiana River, with the signature of our brothers .

This free-entry event aims to establish the town of Castro Marim as a destination for the best snails in the Algarve, as well as promoting traditional Mediterranean products, cuisine and culture, and boosting local commerce.

The event is organized by the Castro Marim Municipal Council and supported by the municipality's many associations and clubs.
