The exhibition Uma Metáfora para as muitos identidades e sentimentos, by Ita Stockinger, opens this Thursday (15) at Galeria Stockinger (Rua Luciana de Abreu, 450). Based on eight works, the exhibition aims to explore and highlight feelings that are part of human sensitivity. The opening begins at 6:30 pm and free visits are available from Tuesday to Friday from 2 pm to 6 pm, and on Saturdays from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm. The exhibition, curated by artist André Venzon, came about very spontaneously. While watching a documentary on television, the artist observed the face of a woman who had a profound impact on her and, due to its intense expressiveness, became the center of her artistic exploration, being translated into all the paintings that make up the exhibition. Through her works, the artist moves through a series of dualities, approaching the threshold between contradictions such as the beautiful and the strange, or the playful and the tragic. "I paint the drama of being and the reality of existence, oscillating between enchantment and the abyss," says Ita.
