The Masters of Reporting series of books reaches its fifth volume, celebrating another important chapter in the history of Brazilian journalism. Organized by journalist and professor Patrícia Paixão and with a foreword by Fátima Souza , one of the leading voices in police coverage in the country, this launch will be held at two events in the area, with the presence of renowned journalists and reporters.

Since its first publication in 2012, the series has aimed to document the lives and trajectories of great names in reporting. The new volume includes interviews with 22 reporters, including Kaique Dalapola , a journalist for Terra , and historical names in the profession such as Juca Kfouri , Florestan Fernandes Júnior and Delis Ortiz .

“It is exciting to have a beloved former student, who was a co-author of volume II, able to have his career recorded. Kaique is an example of a reporter and brings an indignation inherent to good journalists,” commented Patrícia Paixão.

The first launch will take place on July 11, during the Abraji International Congress of Investigative Journalism, while the second, open to the public, is scheduled for August 2, from 3 pm to 6 pm, in the Vladimir Herzog auditorium, at the São Paulo Journalists' Union. During the second event, a roundtable discussion with the journalists interviewed will discuss the theme “Being a reporter in today's Brazil”.

The series was recognized in 2020 as the best "Extension Activity" project at the 19th National Meeting of Journalism Teachers, reflecting its importance in the training of future generations of journalists.

The books in the series are included in the bibliographies of several journalism schools throughout Brazil, preserving the memories and experiences of professionals in the field. In total, 115 reporters had their careers documented in the five volumes of the series.
