In addition to photographers and exhibitors whose work was included in the exhibition, the acting mayor of Porto Alegre, Betina Worm, the municipal secretary of culture Liliana Cardoso and the secretary of the communications office Luiz Otávio Prates were also present at the opening of the exhibition.
The exhibition was created to highlight the solidarity work carried out by the people of Rio Grande do Sul in response to the climate tragedy that affected the state. “This is a record of memory. It is important that it be maintained not only so that we do not forget what happened, but so that we can remember what we are capable of as the people of Rio Grande do Sul,” said the mayor of Porto Alegre.
