Tiling Workshop takes place in Ílhavo

Tomorrow and on the 24th, the municipality of Ílhavo will be holding a Tile Workshop, in partnership with Oficina da Formiga. It will be held as part of the “Bom Dia Cerâmica” initiative, originally held in Faenza (Italy), and extended to Portugal in 2018, through the Portuguese Association of Ceramic Cities and Towns (AptCVC), of which the municipality of Ílhavo is a founding member. The workshop is scheduled to start tomorrow at 10 am, with a short tour of Rua de Alqueidão, in Ílhavo, where participants will have the opportunity to learn about the types of tiles that exist, and to carry out a graphic and photographic survey of them. The visit to the area will meet at the Chapel of Solar de Alqueidão - currently the Municipal Library of Ílhavo. During this phase, participants will be guided by the trainer from Oficina da Formiga and by an architect from the Municipal Council of Ílhavo. The route will serve as inspiration for the second part of the Tile Workshop, on the 24th, at 2 pm, at Oficina da Formiga, where participants will be able to paint two 15x15 centimeter pieces, covered with raw glaze.
