News to the Minute | 09:00 - 16/05/2025How does voting work?
Each country receives a total of points, where 50% belongs to the juries and the other 50% to the public, and each country has a spokesperson - which, in the case of Portugal, is Iolanda, a Eurovision participant last year, having reached 10th place in the final.
12 points, 10 points and also 8 to 1 are distributed.
Is Portugal well placed in the bookmakers?
If Portugal was no longer a favorite to reach the final, it is now still not one of the favorites, finding itself at the bottom of the bookmakers' table . It should be noted, however, that in recent days, the song 'Deslocado' has been at the top of Spotify in several European countries.
Sweden is well-placed and is the favorite to win the Eurovision Song Contest. The top three 'favorites' are completed by Austria and France.
