The Jazz Camp, which is being held for the eighth time this year, will bring together jazz enthusiasts at the Agora Art Village in Ezine, Çanakkale, from August 26–30.
The camp, which first started in Bodrum in 2017, moved to an online format during the pandemic, and has been held in Ezine since 2022, will bring together amateur and professional musicians with five days of intensive lessons, workshops, and concerts.
MASTER NAMES ARE IN THE INSTRUCTOR SQUADThe 2025 lineup includes Ece Göksu and Sibel Köse, two of Turkey's most influential vocalists in the jazz scene, who will teach vocal lessons. Eylül Biçer will teach guitar and jazz theory, Ercüment Orkut will teach piano and composition, Volkan Topakoğlu will teach double bass and jazz history, Tamer Temel will teach saxophone, clarinet, and improvisation, and Berke Özgümüş will teach drums, as in previous years.
Participants will undergo a comprehensive program that includes individual instrument/vocal studies, as well as ensemble lessons, jazz history and theory sessions, improvisation and rhythm workshops.
JAM SESSIONS AND FINAL CONCERTThe most eagerly anticipated part of the camp will be the evening jam sessions held on the Agora Art Village's open-air stage. Participants will have the opportunity to improvise alongside the instructors.
On the evening of August 30th, the camp will conclude with a grand final concert where participants will perform what they have learned over the five days.
