Actor Şekip Taşpınar, known for his role in Kurtlar Vadisi, has passed away

Actor Şekip Taşpınar, known for his role as 'Cevat the Matchmaker' in the TV series Kurtlar Vadisi Pusu, passed away at the age of 56.

Taşpınar's manager Temmuz Karikutal, who announced the news of his death via a social media post, said, "I am deeply saddened by the loss of valuable actor Şekip Taşpınar, whom I managed, this morning. We shared a lot. May he rest in peace, brother."

Actor Taşpınar was poisoned by counterfeit alcohol in 2023 and received treatment for a long time.

WHO IS ŞEKİP TAŞPINAR?

Born in Ankara on February 10, 1969, Taşpınar graduated from Hacettepe University Ankara State Conservatory.

Taşpınar, who started his theater acting career in 1988 at the Ankara Halk Oyuncuları Theater, worked at the Ankara State Theater between 1995 and 1998.

Taşpınar taught acting, diction and phonetics at Çukurova University State Conservatory in 2000-2003.

Taşpınar, who also does voice-over work on TRT and other channels, is known for the character "Cevat Akarsu", which he portrayed in the TV series Kurtlar Vadisi Pusu in 2009.

Taşpınar also appeared in some episodes of the TV series Behzat Ç., Karadayı and Arka Sokaklar.
