Alpay Şalt's 'Supporting Nature with Musical Notes' Concert

Renowned drummer Alpay Şalt is preparing to celebrate his birthday with a meaningful event this year. The concert, titled "Birthday Marathon '25 - Supporting Nature with Musical Notes," will take place on Saturday evening, October 25, 2025, at DasDas İstinyePark, Istanbul.

In the performance, which will last approximately 3 hours, Şalt will take the stage with three separate "tribute" groups with a special repertoire consisting of classic songs from bands that have left their mark on rock music history, such as Thin Lizzy, Motörhead and Iron Maiden.

PROCEEDS WILL BE DONATED TO AFFORESTATION EFFORTS

All proceeds from the concert will be donated to support post-wildfire reforestation efforts. Additionally, sapling certificates will be issued to the three legendary groups whose works will be performed at the concert and forwarded to the relevant institutions.

Alpay Şalt, who expresses his love for nature at every opportunity, summarized the purpose of the event with these words:

I think a love of nature is in my genes. For years, I've been asking anyone who wants a birthday gift to donate a sapling. This year, forest fires devastated us, and we lost so many animals and trees. I want to breathe life into nature through music. May every note become a sapling and fall to the ground.
