Applications for the 13th Bosphorus Film Festival competition have begun

According to the statement made by the foundation, Enes Erbay is once again the artistic director of the festival, which will feature screenings of remarkable productions from Turkish and world cinema, master classes and talks.
Festival President Ogün Şanlıer, whose views were included in the statement, said, "Our festival, which we are organizing for the thirteenth time this year, will once again reveal the power and richness of expression of our cinema on both national and international platforms."

🔹 AA Live for instant developmentsThe festival will feature competitions in the categories of "National Feature Film", "International Feature Film", "Short Film" and "National Documentary Film".
In addition to the Golden Dolphin award for "Best Film" in the National Feature Film Competition, to which films completed after January 1, 2024 can apply, awards will also be given in the categories of "Best Director", "Best Screenplay", "Best Actress", "Best Actor", "Best Cinematographer" and "Best Editing".
This year, the "Best National Documentary Film" and "Special Jury" awards will be given out again in the National Documentary Competition, where there is no time limit and only documentary films made in Türkiye can participate.
The festival, which continues to bring together examples of independent cinema from Türkiye and the world, support new filmmakers and strengthen the cinema industry, will present awards for "Best National Short Fiction Film" and "Best International Short Fiction Film" in its Short Film Competition.
All films in the competition will be nominated for the "Ahmet Uluçay Grand Prize" this year as well.
Deadline for applications is October 1stIn addition, one of the films in the festival's national short film competition will win the "Young Talent Award" supported by the Istanbul Media Academy with a cash prize.
Applications for the 13th Bosphorus Film Festival, supported by the General Directorate of Cinema of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, can be made by filling out the forms on the festival website until Wednesday evening, October 1.
