THEATRE

The striking novel "A Woman's Fights and Transformations" by Édouard Louis, one of the most prominent figures in French literature, is being brought to the stage by the fashion scene. Directed by Kemal Aydoğan and starring Onur Ünsal, the play will premiere as part of the 29th Istanbul Theatre Festival, organized by İKSV. The play will be presented to festival audiences on October 25th at 8:30 PM and on October 26th at 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM.

EXHIBITION

"Talking Like Trees," an exhibition featuring works by Neş'e Erdok, Hüsnü Koldaş, Kemal İskender, Nedret Sekban, Resul Aytemür, and Ahmet Umur Deniz, has opened at Brieflyart Gallery. Curated by Aslı Bora, the exhibition runs until November 16th.

CINEMA

Ferzan Özpetek's record-breaking film, "Diamonds," is now in theaters in Italy. The film, which depicts the lives of women working in a tailoring workshop in 1970s Rome, brings to the big screen the story of sisterhood and solidarity as women listen to each other and overcome challenges by working together. The film, which broke records in Italy with over 2.6 million viewers, also earned lead actress Luisa Ranieri the Best Actress award.

Offering a versatile cultural and artistic experience, Comedy Club by Brothers kicks off its new season on October 17th. Opening its doors with Kalben, the stage will feature Bengi & Sarp Apak performing stand-up, while Ayşegül Aldinç, Harun Tekin & Koray Candemir, Bora Öztoprak, and Demet Sağıroğlu will perform music.

The Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality City Theatres is bringing the play "Oscar" to Adana audiences as part of the 10th City Theatres Festival. Directed by Ersin Umulu, the play will be a free performance at the Adana City Theatres Stage on October 13-14.
