Hermanos Gutierrez music group gave a concert in Harbiye

Hermanos Gutierrez music group took the stage at Harbiye Cemil Topuzlu Open Air Stage.

Estevan Gutierrez, one of the duo, greeted the concertgoers with the words "Good evening Istanbul" in Turkish and said that they were excited to share the same stage with his brother Alejandro Gutierrez.

Alejandro Gutierrez, who provided information about the pieces they performed at the concert, stated that they were happy with the interest of the audience in Istanbul and said, "It is incredible to play with you in this beautiful venue. We are in the middle of a European tour. It is going great. We are playing in the cities we always wanted to be in. Our father is Swiss, our mother is Ecuadorian and we never had the goal of being a band or touring around the world. So we are very grateful for tonight."

The audience applauded the concert, which lasted about 1.5 hours.

The Gutierrez brothers released their first album "8 Anos" in 2017, "Hoy Como Ayer" in 2019, "Hijos del Sol" in 2020, "El Bueno Y El Mano" in 2022, "Sonido Cosmico" in 2024.

The two brothers were first introduced to Latin American guitar melodies by listening to Julio Jaramillo records played by their grandfather. In their work, the duo drew inspiration from a wide range of genres, from the 1950s to the 1980s, including salsa, milonga and cumbia.

THE FESTIVAL WILL CONTINUE UNTIL JULY 17

Composer and pianist Max Richter will give a concert at the Harbiye Cemil Topuzlu Open Air Stage today, while French jazz pianist Gregory Privat and Turkish trumpeter Tolga Bilgin will give a concert at the French Palace tomorrow.

Michelangelo Scandroglio and Hakan Başar Trio and Chiara Civello will meet with music lovers in the garden of the Italian Consulate General on July 5th.

Musician Jazzmeia Horn will perform at the Swissotel on July 7, while American artist Meshell Ndegeocello will perform at the Swissotel on July 8. Brazilian artist Roge will also be a guest on the festival stage at the Esma Sultan Mansion on July 9.

CONCERT ON THE JAZZ FERRY WITH THE ISTANBUL BOSPHORUS ACCOMPANY

Jazz vocalist Meltem Ege will share the same stage with American trumpeter Matt Von Roderick at Hilton Istanbul Bosphorus on July 10.

Kerem Görsev Quintet will perform at Hilton Istanbul Bosphorus on July 11. Within the scope of the festival, the Jazz Boat, which will depart from Kabataş on July 13, will offer the audience the pleasure of a concert accompanied by the Bosphorus.

Young talents and independent voices will take the stage at the "Night Out" concerts on July 16-17 at the Kadıköy Cinema and Moda Stage.
